Beeswax is also commonly used as a fire starter because it is a long-burning fuel source. Please use extra caution when burning outdoors or in dry conditions, as sparks or embers could contribute to wildfire risk.

• Always burn on a heat-safe dish, cauldron, or fire-resistant surface
• Keep away from curtains, pets, children, dry brush, and flammable objects
• Never leave burning unattended — always keep eyes on the flame
• Avoid outdoor burning during windy or high fire-risk conditions
• Trim wick if flame becomes excessively high
• If flames grow too large, safely extinguish by:

• Carefully placing a candle snuffer over the flame

• Smothering with a metal lid or fire-safe cover to remove oxygen

• Using a small amount of baking soda if necessary

Do NOT use water to extinguish wax fires.
